Lobby Eatery - Specialty Coffee and Brunch

We had the pleasure of enjoying a fantastic meal in Hobart, and the food was absolutely excellent! The dish featured a perfectly toasted slice of bread topped with creamy avocado, succulent meat, and a beautifully poached egg drizzled with rich, flavorful hollandaise sauce, garnished with fresh herbs and edible flowers for a touch of elegance. The combination of textures and tastes was spot-on—crisp bread, smooth avocado, tender meat, and the silky egg yolk blending with the tangy sauce. Accompanied by a side of extra bread and a delightful drink, the presentation was as impressive as the taste. The service was great, and the overall experience made for a memorable dining moment. Highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Hobart!

Lobby eatery cafe is very good , infact it’s much better than “ very good” It Has an international and cultural feel to it . Warm friendly , not frantic , not noisy and definitely not pretentious. From the moment you walk in to the”Lobby” you are transported to a peaceful place , music is gently piped throughout the cafe , class is what instantly comes to mind , no loud music here thank goodness , just tranquility and respect and comfort , you are at ease as the staff go about their business and are proud and professional. These people are focused and really care about what they do Customer service? I think that phrase wouldn’t justify what is happening here at Lobby. It goes beyond that and it’s like your at home or on holiday with nothing to worry or trigger you. Staff ( human beings) are terrific , friendly and unassuming. You can tell they are very happy to be there which is a credit to the brand and speaks volumes in regards to management . In these trying times it is so rewarding to see a business that provides harmony and sincerity not only for customers but also their wonderful staff. I can’t fault this place ,all I wish to say about the food and coffee is that it’s excellent and I could be anywhere in the world . Everything on the menu is incredibly satisfying and I won’t go on about flavours and coffee texture , seating comfort as that would be a standard comment and would not justify the experience of what the Lobby will offer you. Wow! Taste explosion. Loved the homemade sourdough bread and the homemade bacon was mouthwatering delicious . The coffees were beautifully and tastefully crafted, hoping I get another opportunity to enjoy the yumminess before holiday ends. Thank you Agnes for your delightful, friendly service and advice.

You can truly feel the care they put into their coffee—and the chef’s passion shines through from the open kitchen. On our first visit, we dined in and also grabbed a Reuben sandwich to go. We reheated it at the hotel later that night, and it still tasted amazing—can only imagine how good it was fresh! We loved it so much that we came back the our last day in Hobar to try different drinks and dishes. Everything blew us away! If you’re in the area and looking for great coffee, delicious food, and fair prices—this is the place you’re looking for! Can’t wait to come back to Tassie soon! Merci beaucoup la chef

Absolutely top service and foods! The owner is super friendly and the staff are very lovely too. We enjoyed our meals and can’t wait to be back. We recommend trying the Mont Blanc signature coffee if you want to try something different.

This might be the best brunch I've ever had. We were in Hobart for four days and had breakfast here for three of them! The presentation was like something you would see in fine dining and the combination and depth of flavours was literally perfection. Do yourself a favour and try both the Eggs and Mushroom' and the Housemade Hashbrown. I'm still fantasizing about the combination of flavours in the eggs and mushroom! The coffees are also fantastic.

The coffee was actually so good and I only ordered a basic eggs on sourdough with some avocado. I could not believe the size. I don’t get that back in Melbourne and I will definitely be back when I’m visiting Hobart!
